A style translated for your room

A visual direction translated into buildable detail

A design direction changes specific things: the depth of a door profile, the visual weight of a wall, the surface you touch or the objects left on show. Start with those choices rather than a label.

A style translated for your room

Find the detail worth carrying forward

Choose the guide closest to your idea and look at its limits as well as its appeal. One room can borrow from more than one direction without becoming a display of styles.

01

References are a starting point

Save two or three images and mark what you like: colour, proportion, doors or contrast. Then compare that idea with the floor, daylight and furniture staying in your home. A photograph of somebody else’s room can guide the conversation, but it cannot answer the dimensions or use of your new cabinet.

02

Scale in the actual room

Deep mouldings can crowd a low room; an entirely plain wall might feel cold. We test those effects on a scaled drawing.

03

Materials beside what remains

Timber, lacquer and metal are viewed with the existing flooring, doors and light. Appearance and construction are specified separately.

04

Function beyond the photograph

Door swings, capacity, equipment and cleaning decide whether the inspiration still works after installation.

Show us the room and the reference

Send room photographs, rough dimensions and two images you like. Tell us what appeals in each — proportion, colour or a detail — and which furniture will stay. That gives the first conversation something specific to work with.
