Our process

How we work, step by step

These steps connect the first estimate to the final fitting. Measurements and specification come before the binding price.

Initial estimate
Share the address, room photos, approximate measurements and the furniture you have in mind. We outline a price range to be checked against the measured space.
Measured survey
At the property we record the relevant dimensions, services and wall conditions. We also check how the pieces can enter the building.
Design, when required
If drawings or a design are needed, we develop them after the survey. The design work is included at no extra charge when you order us to manufacture to that project.
Detailed quotation
With the layout and specification agreed, we set out materials, fittings, delivery, installation and the final amount in writing.
Approval and deposit
You confirm the proposal and pay the deposit stated in the quotation. This authorises the production order.
Workshop production
We cut, finish and prepare the components according to the approved drawings and dimensions.
Fitting on site
The team delivers and assembles the furniture, then adjusts fronts, hinges and visible joints.
Review with you
Before closing the job, we go through doors, drawers and finishes together and record anything that needs a final adjustment.

Height helps only when both beds are easy to reach

We draw access to each mattress, the room needed to change bedding and the route past open drawers and wardrobes. The chosen system has to suit those movements.

Getting to the upper bed

The ladder or steps must not obstruct the door or require someone to climb over the lower sleeper.

Ceiling and mattress

Headroom is calculated with the intended mattress and system dimensions, not ceiling height alone.

Guard and intended use

Rails, openings, fixings and age conditions follow the specification of the selected model.

Drawers with room to open

Under-bed storage has value only if the drawer can be pulled out and reached.

It depends on the system, mattresses and users. We measure floor to ceiling and compare it with the selected model’s dimensions.

Could it fit under a sloping roof?＋

Sometimes, if both mattresses and access remain in the taller part. We check a room section first.

Can it later become two separate beds?＋

Only when the structure and connections are designed for separation from the outset.

Bespoke bunk beds: headroom and safe access

Before adding a second bed we measure headroom above both mattresses and the space needed to climb. The room must remain comfortable in use.

Ladder, guardrails and frame follow the intended users. We check stability and fixings as well as the route into and out of each bed.

Drawers below can store bedding, but must open without hitting a desk or door.
